Firefighters respond to a structure fire in La Paz, Bolivia late July 25. Localized disturbances are likely.

Emergency crews respond to a structural fire in the upper levels of a commercial building under construction at Vita Junction northwest of La Paz late July 25. Reports say the fire started around 8:30 p.m. on the 13th floor. Falling flaming materials pose a certain risk to nearby structures. Authorities cordon off area and divert traffic; cable car red line operations at Central Station (Estacion Central) may be disrupted. There are no current reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is unclear.

Increased security and transport disruptions are likely in the affected area over the next few hours.

Avoid the area until authorities clear it. Check for transport disruptions and seek alternative routes if necessary. Consider staying indoors if there is a lot of smoke in the area, especially if you have a respiratory condition, such as asthma, or conditions that increase your risk of exposure to smoke. Eye irritation is possible; rinse irritated eyes thoroughly with clear water.
