Director of Information Technology-Capital Region Airport Commission (Richmond, VA)

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer and supported by a combined FY21 operating and capital budget of $500,000, the IT department is responsible for networks, servers, communications, operations technology, physical and cyber security, databases, systems integration, business intelligence, business continuity and desktop computers. The goal of information technology is to provide timely, relevant and accurate information, when and where it is needed, to support sound decisions that reduce costs and improve quality, efficiency, safety and security. environmental footprint of the airport.

The Information Technology (IT) Manager will play a key role in finalizing and implementing the airport’s Information Technology (IT) Master Plan while overseeing a small team.

Qualifying training and experience

Requires a combination of education and experience to successfully meet the leadership and technical needs of the CIO position. 1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business administration, computer science or a related field; AND 2. Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in cybersecurity, applications, network infrastructure and user support management. Higher-level experience may be replaced by education on a year-to-year basis.
