ABU DHABI, 13th December, 2021 (WAM) — Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has affirmed that the Abraham Accords peace deal has established a “new, deep and solid structure for diplomatic, economic and cultural relations” in this region, based on cooperation that ensures the prosperity of societies and the well-being of peoples.
In an exclusive interview with Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Managing Director of the Emirates News Agency (WAM), during his visit to the United Arab Emirates today, Bennett said: “In my opinion, this is what is peace and the new reality this region is witnessing, and we are working together to secure a better future for our children.”
Regarding the outcome of the Abraham Accords peace agreement between the UAE and the State of Israel on achieving economic growth and partnership, Bennett said, “Relations between the two countries have strengthened in all areas, and I am very satisfied with this, because many of the cooperation agreements have been concluded in the areas of trade, research and development, cybersecurity, health, education, aviation, etc., and I look forward to the further development and consolidation of relations.”
The Israeli Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at having accepted the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to visit the United Arab Emirates, which is the first visit in a very short time. after the signing of the Abraham Accords peace accord.
Regarding the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to strengthen international cooperation in the face of common challenges, the Israeli Prime Minister stressed that “the values of tolerance, peace and dialogue are common, and that is why the friendship that unites us is developed at such a speed”.
Bennett said that the relations that bind the State of Israel to the United Arab Emirates cover all possible areas, stressing that the ministries of the two countries work together, as well as many companies and businessmen, and that delegations from the two sides make reciprocal visits. .
He added, “I expect our relations to remain good, especially in the economic field. In my opinion, cooperation in the field of health and food safety will be an important part of mutual cooperation.” .
Regarding the volume of trade between the UAE and Israel, the Prime Minister of Israel said: “The volume of mutual trade has accelerated in a few months with unlimited future opportunities to develop it. Israel, like the UAE , is a regional hub for trade.. Our cooperation brings unprecedented economic opportunities not only for us, but for more countries, which is another element to enhance stability and prosperity in this region. “
In response to a question about Israel’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai via a pavilion under the slogan “Towards Tomorrow”, Bennett said: “The Israeli pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai embodies an optimistic vision of tomorrow and a boundless quest to improve it, not only for us, but for our friends and allies around the world in various fields, and that is a core value of Judaism.”
The Israeli Prime Minister concluded: “The message I wish to convey to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and to the citizens of the Emirates is that mutual partnership and friendship are natural. We are neighbors and cousins.
