Livspace, a Bengaluru-based home design service provider and organized marketplace for homeowners and designers, has acquired Dwll.in for an undisclosed amount.

This is the second acquisition by Livspace in the past two months, the first being the DezignUp design community marketplace in March 2015.

Founded in 2013 by Parikshat Hemrajani and Pankaj Poddar, Mumbai-based Dwll.in is an organized online network of interior designers. As part of the acquisition, the co-founders of Dwll.in and the core team will join Livspace.

With this acquisition, Livspace aims to create the largest catalog of designer looks for homeowners and the largest organized community market for home designers.

In addition, Dwll.in and Livspace will begin to develop the marketing strategy for the western region, in addition to expanding to other subways and Tier I cities. Livspace is currently forecasting a turnover rate of over $ 10 million in the next few months.

“The Dwll.in team brings insight into how the home design industry works in India. We look forward to working with these designers to create the largest library of designer looks in the country and deliver the same to tens of thousands of homeowners across the Pankaj and Parikshat are strong entrepreneurs who are pioneers in the space and don’t hesitate to tackle complicated issues. Where possible, we will continue to use acquisitions as a natural extension of our strategy, ”Anuj Srivastava, CEO and co-founder of Livspace, said in a statement Tuesday.

In just four months, Livspace already has a social community of over 320,000 owners with the highest user engagement in the country. With the unique “Find Your Apartment” feature, another industry first by Livspace, it is possible for homeowners to see the “designer appearances” for their apartment before making any home design purchase.

Livspace uses a proprietary data science algorithm and design method to create “appearances or spaces” designed for specific apartments. With more apartments added to the collection, owners have the ability to view their apartment itself, customize color, style, etc. and be confident before making a purchase online.
