NOTThe National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous body of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Government of India and a leading organization for the education, training, R&D and consulting in electronics and IT, invited applications for admission to M.Tech programs in (i) Embedded Systems (ii) Electronic design technology, lasting two years (4 semesters).

Eligibility: the candidate must have passed the B.Tech/equivalent with a minimum of 60% of overall marks (54% for SEBC / PWD and passing marks for SC / ST). People who have passed the AMIE / AMIETE exam in electronics with 55% marks in section B on the AMIE / AMIETE exam and having a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after obtaining the qualifying diploma can also apply. People waiting for results can also apply.

Eligible branches of engineering and GATE subject requirements for each M.Tech are listed in the information brochure at https://nielit.gov.in/calicut/content/mtech-programs.

Admission is normally reserved for those with a valid GATE score. Non-GATE applicants can also apply. They will be considered against vacant positions due to the lack of applicants with valid GATE scores. These unfilled GATE seats will first be filled by non-GATE candidates from the State of Kerala on the basis of the birth certificate. If any seats remain vacant, applicants from other states will be considered for admission.
