Metfone School Information System Wins “Best Enterprise IT Solution of the Year” Award

Metfone’s online digital education system was named “Best Business IT Solution of the Year” by the Globee Awards, the International Business Awards Program and the Business Ranking List.

The School Information System (SIS) – developed by Metfone with support from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports – was launched in October 2020.

The SIS would be rolled out to 1,000 schools across the country as part of the project and in the first stage, 300 schools with over 300,000 students and 20,000 teachers used the system.

Phung Van Cuong’s Managing Director of Metfone said SIS has been recognized by the Globee Awards as one of the best digital education apps in the world.

“Alongside global tech giants like IBM, HP and Samsung, Metfone Cambodia achieved first place in the ‘International Best in Business Awards’ category, winning gold and silver awards for its education system. digital, SIS.

“The awards reaffirm Metfone’s position as the Cambodian leader in digital technology. And that further encourages the company to bring more technological and digital innovations to the Cambodian market, ”Van Cuong said.

The SIS offers three main advantages to users: it provides an online application which users can access via the Internet; it offers a personalized learning interface to meet the needs of schools; and this gives connectivity benefits with Metfone users can access the SIS without any internet cost.

The SIS project aims to contribute to the development of the education sector in Cambodia by providing digital services to more than 1,000 schools across the country.

The digital transformation project aims to improve student experiences by:

âš« Allow students to enter through a mobile application or a web application;

âš« Provide a wide range of choices for online learning;

âš« Use technology to monitor student progress and apply intervention protocols;

âš« Activation of online class organization faculties.
