The Nagaland Department of Health and Family Welfare has launched an online Human Resource Management Information System (HRMS) and payroll management system.
The HRMIS system was developed with support from the World Bank-supported Nagaland Health project to strengthen the delivery of public health services in the state.
The developed system will be a dynamic repository of health human resources and will help the health system to digitize the registration of key human resource functions such as training, transfer, promotion.
HRMS will also digitize and automate state health human resources payroll processing.
The senior director of the state health directorate, Dr Neikhrielie Khimiao, launched the HRMIS online to the department leadership on Tuesday.
In his remarks, Khimiao stressed the need for digital tools to make health service delivery more efficient in the state, especially in light of the Covid19 pandemic.
He said Nagaland will be eligible for an additional 5-10% of the National Health Mission’s annual budget according to the Union Ministry of Health’s incentive plan with the implementation of the system.
The web-based HRIS can be used by all employees of the Ministry of Health, NHM and the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society through a web GIS or Android app.
Each employee can log into www.nagahealth.nagaland.gov.in using their unique login credentials, which can be received by text message on their registered mobile phone number.
A detailed standard business process will be made available on the website and communicated to districts in the coming days.
